Catherine Popesco's workshop in France is reviving the golden Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods through the agile hands of her team of highly skilled artisans.

Her collection originated in ancient Parisian factories, established over 200 years ago. Rambling around the old Paris, she found original stampings designed by celebrated artists such as Lalique, Mucha and Gallé.

With her vivid imagination, Popesco mixed invaluable treasures of French heritage to create an exquisite collection of handmade jewellery. Each piece is rendered from original molds and stampings and set, by hand, with Austrian crystals. Most are made of 'old silver' - a traditional technique, laying silver over a copper base. The enamel is applied with extreme delicacy using tiny brushes and employing diverse colour combinations.

Catherine creates her own colours by mixing a large variety of different pigments. This unique French process allows the pieces to best exhibit the intricate details of these historical designs.
